Disney+: My First Impression
Chris and I are avid movie-watchers. (Fun fact: Chris goes to the movies on a bi-weekly basis by himself! haha!) I love me a good at-home movie night-- fulled equipped with stove top popcorn, comfy clothes & fluffy blankets. I suspect we have more nights than most people do and I'm totally okay with that. Eighty-five percent of the time we watch Disney movies. By Disney I mean everything under the Disney umbrella-- Classic animated films, Live action films, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, etc. Did I go absolutely nuts when I found out Disney was releasing their own streaming service? Yup-- you bet! I've been anxiously awaiting today's Disney+ launch day and lucky for me, today's my day off so I've spent the entire morning diving right in to all that the service has to offer.
First of all, let me say that THEY HAVE LITERALLY EVERYTHING!! This is pure magic for any Disney movie fan. I cannot tell you how many times I've wanted to watch and old classic Disney movie, or a movie in "the vault", but it's either not available or only available to buy for $19.99. SO FRUSTRATING! One time I went as far as to bust out a TV with built-in VHS player from the basement and tried to watch a movie that way. Let's just say that there's a reason for the extinction of VHS tapes.
Anyway, back to Disney+... I felt so nostalgic browsing through the service this morning. It makes me so excited to be able to share all my old favorite movies and TV shows with Nash. Disney, you’ve given us something truly special... so thank you!
I created a video narrating myself browsing through Disney+ for the first time on my iPad and I think that will be the easiest way to provide you guys with my thoughts and recommendations. Below, I will link my low quality, minimal editing, YouTube video— I apologize that it’s kind of blurry... I know nothing about video editing, so it’s the best I’ve got for ya! Anyway, Happy streaming to all you disnerds out there & let me know if you check out any of the movies or shows that I recommended— I’d love to hear your feedback!
See ya real soon!
